Our Programs
SINGLE MOTHERS MAKING IT
The number of children living with a single mother is growing rapidly around the globe. Being a single mother can be quite stressful and a huge challenge. Today, we see a growing number of problems single moms face in society. This program is a multi-week long workshop series that gives single mothers an opportunity to delve into the many challenges they face daily surrounding parenting, identity, and change. During this workshop, women will get a chance to express their sincerest feelings, thoughts, and emotions about raising a child on their own.
G.U.D.B.O.Y.S.
G.U.D.B.O.Y.S. stands for Gentlemen Understanding Destiny By Overcoming Your Statistics. This program gives formally incarcerated men a chance to thrive as a productive citizen in today’s society. Gentlemen will focus on academic excellence, character development, healthy lifestyles, and leadership skills to ensure that they achieve high levels of success in their future.
HOME 4 US!
“Home is where the heart is.” This program gives individuals dealing with homelessness a platform for their voices to be heard regarding their day to day difficulties. It also serves as a safe space for people to feel welcomed, accepted, and a sense of belonging. Participants will get an opportunity to express their feelings and thoughts about their experience being homeless as they connect with other individuals who face similar struggles.
12 STANZAS
The 12-Steps were created by the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to establish guidelines for the best way to overcome an addiction to alcohol. AA gained enough success in its early years that other addiction support groups began to adapt the steps to their own needs. This program is designed to help participants dealing with addiction recover, grow, and transform into their best self. We use the 12-step program in conjunction with creative writing to assist individuals with positively progressing towards sobriety.
